I should have stolen it.
The light-up outlines of Ignignot caused quite a stir in Boston.
I saw one of these the other night (before the ruckus) in Hollywood, and the street was very busy. Nevertheless, I really wanted to steal it. I didn't, mostly because of the fear of getting caught. I'm sure the promotions company knew none of these things were going to last very long, and somebody else is just going to take it.
Within three hours of this story breaking, the first sign on Ebay was already up to $400.00.
As of this writing, it's at $616.00. I don't know what it would have gone for before this little misunderstanding in Boston, but now all bets are off. I think I would have put it at 3-4 hundred as a collectible before the bru-haha. Now? I really can't guess. It's like I'm looking at an ugly flower vase on Antique Roadshow. It could be worth $100 or $17,000...I have no idea.
Since I love this type of thing (and I do watch Antique Roadshow) I'll put out a guess...I'll say bidding tops out around $1,600 bucks...if it's the only one put up. If a second one goes up, I'll lower my prediction for the first one to $900.
Anybody else have a guess?

I would think the manufacturer would put a halt to the sales of them. Espeacially if they were all stolen. But, I heard you could buy them from the manu anyway, so disregard me.

The manufacturer is an indie grassroots marketing company, as far as I can tell.
I think if they placed them anyplace without permission, they're up for grabs. And it looks like they threw them up anywhere and few placements had permission. So they kinda just left them in public places...
