Everyone has had a dumb boss. Or a lazy one, or absent or whatever. I've been fortunate enough to have some -great- bosses since getting into casting. It was a serious wake-up call and attitude adjustment about my lingering preconceived notions of Hollywood.

By and large, they're quite good at their jobs, and I've learned a lot from them.

This doesn't mean there aren't some practices which I still find unusual.

This question is for you real-world jobby types;

Have you ever had to train your supervisor in exactly the practice, form and execution of the duties which they'll be supervising you doing?

I have. Twice in two weeks.
